RingRing Media books $4 million in mobile search and display advertising in 8 months
Mobile ad agency RingRing Media announced today that it has booked over $4 million worth of mobile search and display advertising since its launch in June 2008. Ad-network partners include AdMob, Yahoo, Google, 4th Screen Advertising and Screentonic.
During the last 8 months, RingRing Media claims average campaign CTR of 5%, with conversion rates ranging from 25 –75%
From the release:
Ben Tatton-Brown, Co-founder and Managing Director, RingRing Media, said: “We’ve not tried to re-invent the wheel but have simply brought a traditional agency approach to mobile advertising, where strong account management and tight campaign monitoring delivers tangible results.”
Thomas Schultz, Admob VP & Managing Director - EMEA added: “RingRing Media is a perfect example of the great success that companies with a vision for and commitment to mobile advertising can experience. We consider them a trusted partner in helping us deliver quality results advertisers demand.”
What we think?
I’d like to congratulate RingRing Media on this announcement, but 4 million really doesn’t seem like a huge amount to me over an 8 month period. I’m new to this market, and I know that advertising spend on mobile Internet channels still isn’t all that huge. But in light of recent investment and funding announcements, this figure just seems like a drop in the ocean.

Go Ben and Harry! 4 million is incredible growth from $0 last year, despite what Bena “thinks”. In fact, Bena, I dare you to post when Visibility Mobile hits $4 million in revenues
Hey! I didn’t write the article - huge congratulations to Ben and Harry from me too! We love you!
