ROK - Coming in your ears

Rating: Wall of (white) noise for springbok punters

by Tony Alton

My mum came up to me the other day and said that if there was one thing she wanted more on earth, apart from a minion to clean the house and wipe away dad’s comatose drool, was looped dance music on her mobile with the option to buy data compressed tunes on-the-go. Now thanks to ROK if she gets a plane over to South Africa her every dream can come true.  Although dad might need someone to spoon-feed him now because he’s still in quarantine.

They have teamed up with a bunch of well cool South African disc jockeys called Soul Candi  to give Vodacom, MTN and CellC subscribers a mobile party in their ears. Not hugely inspiring, in fact a bit limited and unappealing on a wider scale. I am currently in talks with Vodafone to provide subscribers with a better mobile music service that looks a bit like this.  Sweet.

Nice one, Tony! Thanks for the mention - and if I ever need a one-man band, I know where not to look.
