I had a really tough day today – facing not one, not two but five investors. It was in a word awful.
But where there is bad – there is good and I got a lot of excellent information and advice for free. This almost made up for the torment of having to bare my soul and business and to them all.
So what happened?
I had an good night but woke up at 3am to get a flight to London to get to the meeting. I didn’t wear my chosen outfit for a number of reasons and I turned up at Running the Gauntlet two hours early.
I was over the moon when I got there and everyone knew my name and who I was. This was a nice touch. I also bumped into Bruce Ely from iOTA and we had a nice chat. Before I went in I got a call from Paul Strzelecki (Chairman Mobile Aware) and I conned him into listening to my pitch – which he did and he gave me some good tips. Sorry, no idea what he wanted as I was really nervous… but thanks for listening.
Then I got into the room which was really small sweaty and pokey. All the investors came in after me and I introduced myself. The camera was staring me in the face and the I thought it was best not to think about it but just to get it over and done with.
Then I did it.
