Simyo starts summer promotion and slashes SMS to 1 cent

The German mobile discounter Simyo is starting a promotion that will offer anyone that signs up for its services now (usually EUR 19.95 for a SIM package) SMS for 1 cent for the next three months.

What we think
This is the last thing big operators need in Germany right now - an SMS price war.
