SMSpup Mobile Advertising in Australia

An Australian company SMSpup is offering a new mobile plan offering discounts for opting in mobile SMS advertising. If you sign-up then you can also earn points with the advertisers for participating in surveys etc. Then you get points.
Now is it me or is points for prizes and loyalty mobile schemes the in thing at the moment?

I think so. This usually also happens in an economic downturn. People save money and points and loyalty schemes justify spend.
