SnapTell visual mobile marketing index up to one million images

SnapTell is a mobile visual marketing company. It has reported that its index of images that it can retrieve information from has reached nearly 1 million.

Why is this important?

Basically its image recognition for marketing purposes where you Snap (a picture) Send it (via SMS) and Get (results).

From the press release

How do you use this?

To use SnapTell’s Mobile Entertainment Explorer, Snap a picture of a DVD, CD or video game cover, Send your picture to fun@snaptell.com and Get back reviews, prices and other useful information immediately.

What we think?
The mobile image market and visual mobile search segment has exploded. But are the services any good. GoMo News is now on a mission to test all of them and we will report back on a case for case basis.
