Sony Ericsson sells half of UIQ to Motorola

Rating: not a surprise

Motorola is a huge user of UIQ technology which makes smartphones simple to use. I personally think the idea is great and definitely a winner in the next few years. I can see the technology being used for applications too and downloads (D2C) moving forward.

So SonyEricsson sells half of UIQ to Motorola – and I have to laugh. Not because of the article but because I could have scooped this back in April when I had lunch with a senior Motorola executive at Orange Partner Camp.
