SPB Software releases doomed mobile gaming app
Mobile application powerhouse SPB Software has announced the release of… well, of an educational mobile gaming app. *shudder* The SPB Geo Game is available for Windows and Android phones.
Geo Game is a touch-screen game that teaches players about national capitals and flags. It’s got 235 countries, 235 flags, and 234 capitals. The most bewildering thing is that it isn’t free. You have to pay 5 dollars for this game.
From the release:
Vassili Philippov, SPB Software COO: “Getting to know all the countries in the world with their capitals and flags is something a lot of us always wanted to do, but never had the time. SPB Geo Game grants the opportunity to test ourselves and study the world’s diversity in a fun and relaxing manner, within the few spare moments we have.”
What we think?
As a life-long computer gamer, I tend to be unfairly biased against educational games. However, I have to admit that there is a place for them, and if you want to give your kid something educational to play on your phone, then this isn’t a bad idea. However, the 5 dollar charge is just going to sink this game. There are other, more fun, memory games out there for free.
