SpinVox dies belly up with Nuance acquisition

It’s obvious that Nuance has hated SpinVox since launch as it claimed to provide speech to text; the core of Nuance’s technological armoury. But in the final days of the lie happy voice to text call centre (aka SpinVox); Nuance has the last laugh.

Nuance puts outs it end of year cigar, by purchasing  SpinVox’s deals with mobile operators.  Nuance is about technology; but as many tech companies it has failed in dining mobile operators as well as BS companies, such as SpinVox. But as we all know, BS, back-handers and the compulsory lads night out – does win sales…. and SpinVox, at least, had mastered that aspect of its strategy.

Anyway, Nuance has the last laugh as it wins operator deals and will replace SpinVox’s call centre staff with its technological backbone.  That is the real story and the only reason for this sale.

At USD 102 million – SpinVox hasn’t really been sold. No winnings have been made. Investors will be swallowing a bitter pill and maybe someone might have learnt something.
