SpinVox under pressure
SpinVox is under pressure. Apparently it is failing the data protection act as it is getting people in Egypt to transcribe voice-mails. It is allowed to transcribe but not outside of the UK.

What we think?
So, I met founder Daniel Daulton recently and I know others that have helped SpinVox grow. I even did a 2 week project for SpinVox 4 years ago (which founder Christina Domecq, told me was good only for the rubbish bin - and that ended our relationship and my time there!).
But I have to say that I just don’t believe technology in the voice mobile space can do this. I love the quote in the podcast that says its like a cash-machine that you think is technology but then you find out there is a person handing out the money!
I just called a friend ex-Nuance and he said, “everyone in the industry knows that SpinVox is not a technology player. I know that because Nuance would have purchased the company by now, if it could”. He said, “they got some big funding to try and make the technology - but haven’t succeeded yet. So far it is just a gimmick on the tech side”.
Lets see what happens.

I feel sorry for the poor Egyptians having to listen to English voice-mails. “Felicity, had to sell my Range Rover Sport today, trading down to a 5 series to appease those environmentalists. Ta ta.”
Ha Ha Paul, but after a week in London it would be more like “come an ave a go, mate”.
Spinvox is a lie, cheat, scam, fraud… no technology but agents in call centers in Guyana, SA, Manilla, Kenya, etc listening into our messages and converting them….. the founder of this company should be put behind bars….. this is a breach of data protection.
