Swisscom is on the up in terms of acquisition and investment. After years of trying but never getting it on with Telekom Austria; Swisscom has taken the bull by the horns. First Fastweb see: http://pushingthebarrier.typepad.com/pushing_the_barrier/2007/03/swisscom_makes_.html
And now kyte.tv see: http://pushingthebarrier.typepad.com/pushing_the_barrier/2007/04/kytetv_blogging.html
So basically Swisscom has both consumer and convergence on its agenda.

Swisscom is already a Wifi leader in Europe and with Fastweb it will have a footprint in Italy on the Internet side and also with user generated mobile content and TV with kyte.tv.
A few years ago Swisscom was in trouble of being its own take-over target – but now these days are over and its strategy is proving it. Swisscom aims to be stronger competitive in Europe and its going about it the right way.
