Swisscom (Switzerland) Ltd to take over specialist in unified communications
Swisscom is to take over the company webcall GmbH headquartered in Dübendorf, including the 12 employees, thus strengthening its position in the area of Microsoft-based unified communications solutions (UC). The formal deal is subject to the approval of the Federal Competition Commission before the end of June 2008. The parties have agreed not to disclose details of the purchase price.
As a leading provider of Microsoft-based UC solutions, webcall GmbH has employees specialised in the future-oriented enterprise communications market. The company generated revenue of around CHF 1.7 million in 2007 and employs 12 people in Dübendorf.
