I found an interesting article in this month’s issue of Mobile Life from T-mobile for customers. It’s called Typing was Yesterday or “Tippen war gestern”.
The article focuses on QR codes. It details what a QR Code is – the effect in of QR codes in Japan and provides a link to:
www.de.wikipedia.org/wiki/QR_Code
Why is this interesting?
Education is vital for the uptake of QR Codesor mobile barcodes in general. Mobile operators actively promoting mobile codes is nothing short of extremely positive. The article further offers graphical case study of how you scan the code – decode it and get the website – which is very clear.
The blue section on the right hand side goes into even greater detail about the web and 2.0 services followed by an endorsement for the Swiss mobile barcode provider Kaywa.
There is a direct link for downloading the Kaywa reader(http://reader.kaywa.com) This is very good for Kaywa and amazing publicity going out to all of T-Mobile’s contract customer base.
But is the Kaywa reader any good?
Wel,l yes actually. It was the first reader I ever downloaded and Kaywa was used as the first every code on GoMo News – even now I still get a lot of traffic from Kaywa feeds. I think that the company has a strong hold in the Austrian, Swiss and German market because of the length of time it has been operating. I doubt this is an exclusive deal or more than a recommendation for kaywa -but is very notable!
