T-Mobile links with Medio Systems

Rating: Hot and finally T-Mobile does something right!

A small article in the Seattle Times said that T-Mobile was to link up with Medio Systems. We are not waiting for the press release to report on this one as we viewed a demo of the mobile search platform at CTIA in September.

This is great news for T-Mobile and Medio Systems. T-Mobile has needed a high quality mobile search engine to channel interest to its own digital content. Medio’s skills in recommendation will enable the operator to offer a killer recommendation engine to consumers which should drive traffic and sales for the operator. More over, T-Mobile will now have cutting edge analytics on consumers and mobile search that it can use to drive traffic and interest in the mobile Internet.

T-Mobile, at least in Europe has been following not leading on own branded mobile search - but this is set to change…. especially if T-Mobile is sensible and brings the Medio engine to Europe.

More on Medio in the current edition of the Mobile Search Analyst - now on sale!

Louise!!! I am a huge fan of Medio Systems and of JumpTap - both companies are very similar and very different. JumpTap does have the advertising edge but Medio is the analytics and recommendation guru.
