T-Mobile MyFaves Mates Morpher on facebook

T-Mobile has gone all 2.0 and created a facebook applcitoin to promote its MyFaves voice social network style service – where you have cheaper calls, sms etc to your five favourite users.

The technology can morph between two and five friends. Ever wondered what you and your partner, or even Amy and Blake would look like as one? How about the ultimate Spice Girl or the ultimate Beatle? MyFaves Mates Morpher creates morphed images in a matter of minutes; all you need to do is download the application and start morphing.

Vanessa Potts, Head of Post-Pay, T-Mobile comments: “The MyFaves Mates Morpher application allows people to find out what their ultimate friend - a mixture of their MyFaves - would look like as one. The MyFaves tariff was created with community in mind, bringing our customers closer to the people who matter most by offering them unlimited contact with their “inner circle” across any network. Our research showed that we all have an inner circle of around five friends and this application allows facebook users to explore their MyFaves, deciding who should be in their top five whilst having a bit of fun morphing them together. And some might be shocked by the end result!”

Hmmmm. Will give this a go in a minute.

But this is a tad creative for a mobile operator. Definitely showing a new side to T-Mobile and a great way to promote its MyFaves product via a social network - so reaching its core critical target market.
