T-Mobile
has announced the following new features:

• T-Mobile is the largest provider of public WiFi in the world, with over 1,200 HotSpots in the UK.
• First mobile operator to offer inclusive access to a WiFi network as part of a mobile broadband price plan
• Prices from £12.50 per month when connecting with a Flext mobile phone contract which now includes access to every T-Mobile WiFi HotSpot
• Broadband speeds up to 8mbps

From the press release
Richard Warmsley, T-Mobile’s Head of Internet on the Move, said: “We’ve already built a market-leading high-speed 3G network nationwide, now we’re strengthening our lead in mobile broadband by adding our WiFi HotSpots to Web’n’walk Plus / Max price plans. So, as well as comprehensive 3G HSDPA coverage, you can be sure of a fast connection where it matters most - whether it’s in Starbucks, the airport, train stations or any other HotSpot location - at no extra cost.

“We’re the only network to include unlimited use of our own HotSpots. We recognise that it’s a quick reliable connection that matters most, not the technology you use to get online. We also know that customers don’t get bits and bytes so we focus on simple fixed price plans that never have any extra charges, no matter how much surfing you need. Now with our recent 3 network collaboration and the addition of HotSpots in our plans you can be sure that T-Mobile offers the best Mobile Broadband service in the UK.”

What we think?
This is just a great idea. I say this because with the iPhone on contract in Germany I have free DT HotSpot access in an XL contract worth EUR 89 per month. I now really do take my iPhone and use it everywhere. Affordable access to WiFi bundled with a broadband or phone contract is a must for every mobile operator.
