T-Mobile personal price plan Boosters

by: Bena Roberts Monday, September 1st, 2008

Mobile operator T-Mobile has launched a new mobile personalised price plan called T-Mobile Boosters.

What is it?
      T-Mobile Boosters allow customers to get more of what they want and to personalise their price plan to suit their lifestyle

      Boosters are available in four categories: Talk & Text (when you want more text than talk time e.g. Christmas) , Travel (Euro 50% more credit Boosters for international calling) , International Calling (cheap calls to specific locations) and Internet (cheaper Internet rates).

      Boosters are available to new and existing T-Mobile customers on both pay as you go and contract, and run alongside existing price plans

How much?

Boosters are available in four price denominations: £2.50, £5 , £7.50 and £10 and can be used on their own, as a one-off or in conjunction with each other, giving customers the flexibility to create a plan according to what is going on in their lives.

From the press release

Steve Mitchell, head of post-pay marketing at T-Mobile said:  “T-Mobile Boosters offer great value for our customers.  Whether they want to do more talking & texting , internet surfing on the move , calling abroad or calling from Europe , there’s a Booster to suit everyone.  Boosters are a great way for customers to create a personalised plan that fits their lifestyle – whatever life throws their way.”

What we think?
Hmm. I like the sound of the Euro Booster as talking on mobile when travelling can be very costly. This will enable users to top-up or anticipate costs before hand. This isn’t really anything new but I do like the Booster packaging.  I often think that many services fail because of the wrong packaging but the term Booster is simple and straightforward and the price bundles a no-brainer.
