I spent a lovely weekend in Germany basking in the sunshine with my family. As I knew that I would be in Germany – I held back writing a blog about T-Mobile Streets gigs (www.t-mobile-streetgigs.de).
Why?
Well it would be an easy way to make jokes at T-Mobile trying to get jiggy with it. But more importantly – I wanted to attend some live air music festivals in Germany before I made any judgement.

So I have had an action packed few days hitting some open-air events across Germany which started by attending an Open Air Mass (yes Church Service) last week in the Romer Platz in Frankfurt. Even for a Church event – it was lively and kicking and definitely a place where the audience was engaged. I didn’t go to attend the mass – I went to meet up with ex-W2Forum’s Jan Kruzinsky (I hope I have spelt that correctly). Anyway – Jan is doing fine in Germany and he is now working for Nintendo.

So anyway – the three street music gigs and one open air disco I attended in Rheinboellen, Bingen Frankfurt and the Mosel Valley were rockin! I actually think that T-Mobile has hit the right note with its street-gig push.

From the press release
“We are using the T-Mobile Street Gigs to distinctively expand our commitment to newcomers and top acts, and to launch an independent, innovative series of events. We manage not only the choice of bands and locations, but also the new ticket system,” explained Björn Loose, Head of Sponsoring and Events at T-Mobile Deutschland.

What we think?
Bjorn Loose is going to get an email from us pushing our very own Face of User Generated Content – Hannah Finlay! Hannah is Chickster1989 on YouTube.
