After last weeks high-speed 3G launch in Philadelphia, T-Mobile USA has announced a 2010 HSPA+ rollout. Orange has released a super cheap phone for the elderly. Incredibly cheap tariffs have seen Bharti climb to the no.5 spot for voice minutes used… and more.

mobile-operatorsIndian price wars have gotten ridiculous with new call charges from Bharti Airtel. Verizon has launched an enterprise mobile management product with Sybase. Turkcell is running a high-profile 3-month campaign for contactless mobile payments. AT&T is showing love for the home team by installing 500 antennas in the Dallas Cowboys stadium and T-Mobile is expanding it’s presence in the Czech Republic.

I’ve just got back from the GSM’s industry’s annual bun fight - the Global Mobile Awards, and overall I’m pretty impressed by the results. It was also highly amusing that the night’s compere, Graham Norton, got in a joke at EU Comms Commissioner, Viviane Reding’s expense.
Was it a co-incidence that the GSMA Chairman’s award went to [...]
