Mobile coupons enter the Black Friday battle on Android

Celebrity-backed mobile coupon service Yowza!! is taking advantage of the day that’s in it. As the retail war that is Black Friday gets under way, Yowza!! is publicising the special coupons it is carrying for today - but also taking the opportunity to announce that for the first time the service is available on Android.

Patrons of five hundred cinemas in the US are going to be seeing a new mobile coupon service before the end of the year. The SMS-based service is powered by bCODE, promoted by in-cinema advertisers Screenvision and carried by Sprint network.

Pre-paid card company nFinanSe adds mobile coupons to its service

nFinanSe is one of America’s beefier pre-paid card companies. Its cards can be used to withdraw cash, pay for items on-line and at (it claims) 72,000 participating retailers across the States. Today it announced that it has signed an agreement with mobile advertiser RocketBux to deliver mobile barcode coupons to card-holders at point of sale.
