GRAMMY week is seven days worth of events leading up the music awards - and at the end you get to watch the largest music promotional event in the US on television. But app developer Diversion Media wants more than that, and is releasing the first official GRAMMY iPhone application.

It was founded in 1982, and is responsible for the standards that govern digital television in the United States. This body today announced that it is approving a new standard for digital transmissions to mobile devices, which could lead the way for a new era of mobile television.
