None of these problems happened until we ‘upgraded’ to Windows 7 on our Samsung NC10 netbook from Windows XP. Consumers have no faith in mobile broadband – but is that fair?
Results from independent comparison site Broadband Genie indicate that the public think mobile broadband is awful. 64% of respondents said that their broadband connection didn’t live up to their expectations. Brave new mobile advertising creep from 3 UK
Those who connect to the web with a USB modem (or dongle) will be familiar with the “dashboard”. Most operators have one – it’s a little interface that pops up when you plug your modem in. 3 UK has decided it will start selling advertising on that dashboard. While that does guarantee an ad will get seen by the approx. 1 million mobile broadband users 3 has, it will require a major redesign of the interface. Orange introduces new devices to its Mobile Broadband portfolio
Orange today announced it will be expanding the product offerings in its UK consumer mobile broadband portfolio, with two new devices in its consumer ‘connected’ range and a new dongle with data storage capacity that will allow them to keep their important information with them whilst they are on the move.
