I had some interesting chats over the past few days and here is a quick round-up of information.
Michael Libes: Has left Medio and is now working on a secret stealth start-up Ground Truth. I have had a fantastic relationship with Michael for a few years now and he is extremely intelligent. Now, we have written about Getfugu before on GoMo News and Cian wasn’t too impressed. But today I just spend 30 minutes or so checking out the company and the service and various content.
Well Getfugu launched a new press release today saying that it has partnered with Interpublic’s (IPG) Emerging Media Lab, a leading center [...]
Last week I had a great lunch with Victor Malachard and Wes Biggs in the Hospital Club in London.
Who are they?
Do you remember Infospace the mobile search company that worked with Virgin Mobile. The one purchased by Motricity? Well, Wes was the Chief Architect and Victor headed up marketing.
Victor and Wes, together with Paul Childs [...]
Head of EU Business Development for MCN Patrick Barille has left MCN. GoMo News is light on details but more to follow.
The white label mobile search business is extremely competitive but MCN has made some significant gains in both Scandinavia and Asia. JumpTap pulled out of Europe at the start of the year, indicating that [...]
I had a lively and warm chat with Medio Systems CEO Brian Lent on mobile search. I had been worried about the pure mobile search model not delivering and how to move forward with this.
Brian explained that Medio had realised that offering search was a great resource for brands and operators but at the same [...]

I have an interview with CEO of MedioBrian Lent today but in short the news out from Medio is that it is working with Yahoo! to help deliver mobile web search solutions to T-Mobile.
From the press release
“T-Mobile is an outstanding partner, and we are proud that our mobile search solution continues to be available to [...]
I got this from Axicom Medio’s PR agency and even though I already knew that Medio was still very much part of the T-Mobile USA deal (as I had already confirmed with the company personally…from the middle of nowwhere in China) – I think the explanation below is great.
the breaking news regarding T-Mobile USA’s selection [...]
T-Mobile has all avenues covered and is having a threesome with Google, Yahoo and Medio.
Well T-Mobile’s online strategy has been a bit flirtatious. It started with web ‘n’ walk and Google – but Google’s mobile search wasn’t very good (metaTXT needed!) So then Google got divorced and Yahoo! Became the new mistress and oneSearch is [...]
In this final part of my behind the scenes CTIA video with Brian Lent CEO/Chairman of Medio, the mobile search specialists, Brian shares his thoughts on the final day of CTIA, and of CTIA in general.
So, I have to say that I am jet lagged and exhausted. Last week at CTIA was simply crazy and Rob Knight took over Pitch to GoMo News day as I just was at the end (thank-you).
But first the thanks for GoMo News
1. To our great sponsors Medio Systems (about five more videos and articles to [...]
Well it’s friday evening here in San Francisco and CTIA 2008 is over. A big personal thanks to everyone we met while at CTIA. Allthough I personally thought the show was a little slow, we did see some interesting products and services.
Next week we will have loads more video and reports from CTIA, including more [...]
