Something is happening in the mobile barcodes water. The media interest in Microsoft Tag is evidence that interest is barcodes is moving to the mainstream and the recent success of companies from NeoMedia to Scanbuy to JagTag is showing that the US and South America are proving to be very liquid markets.

Here’s a quick round-up of the mobile barcoding stories that have grabbed my attention today. First, Amazon has announced it’s latest mobile shopping application for Android, with barcodes at its heart. And there are two stories for the Microsoft Tag system - it’s being integrated into a bridal magazine and into an ad campaign for Ford.

Mobile Barcode News: Microsoft Tag on Turkish Magazine

I saw a Tweet from Microsoft Tag and when I clicked the link .. (see here) http://blogs.msdn.com/tag/archive/2009/02/03/microsoft-tag-on-a-turkish-magazine.aspx
