A creative agency called ATTIK has rather proudly announced a new launch today with the iPad edition of The Onion satirical newspaper. Why is browser-based mobile social gaming from MocoSpace such good news?
Mocospace, America’s biggest mobile social network, has two great announcements wrapped up in one today. First, it has landed $3.5 million in funding from SoftBank Capital. Second, it is using that capital to expand it’s mobile browser-based social mobile gaming network.

iPad apps don’t have to cost the world
Looks like the lash back against the high price of iPad apps has already begun – and developers are part of the charge. There have been numerous complaints about the pricing of applications on the iPad. It breaks down like this: on the iPhone, if you’re paying for an application it’ll probably cost you between $1 and $5. Tetris is now the most purchased mobile game ever: Alexey Pajitnov dances with joy
When Tetris was first released in the mid-1980s, its creator basically got screwed. Under the USSR, the government held all copywrites and the game was distributed for free. With the founding of the Tetris Company in 1996, Alexey Pajitnov has been able to draw profits from his creation – so the news that it is now (once again) the most downloaded mobile game in existence is welcome news.
