Myriad Group AG, a global leader in mobile technology having shipped over 3.7 billion software applications on more than 2.2 billion phones, today announces a new deal to extend the existing partnership with Telefónica to provide mobile social networking services to Telefónica’s Vivo brand. The agreement reinforces Myriad’s 5-year partnership with Telefónica announced earlier this year, and increases Myriad’s addressable market from 80 million to 140 million subscribers across Latin America. Mobile gaming goes fully cross platform with Aurora Feint
This evening’s launch of Apple’s Game Center has really lit a fire under the mobile gaming industry. In particular, social gaming company Aurora Feint seems to have gone into overdrive. Today, it has announced the launch of a new SDK called PlayTime, which will allow any games developer to make their game a true cross-platform app – allowing gamers on Android and iPhone to play with (or against) one another. Mobile games are feeling the pinch from Apple
The mobile gaming industry is definitely worried about Apple’s social gaming hub, Game Centre. Just yesterday, Scoreloop announced a major social gaming network deal with Taiwan operator Chunghwa Telecom… who specifically mentioned that this was to compete with Game Centre.
