searchme Searchme has announced that its new ad platform has passed beta and is now available to advertisers. It has been in a testing phase with ad agencies and brands for a few months now, and Searchme is now confident that it intersects well with its “visual mobile search” offering.

Amazon’s search division, A9, has acquired mobile search service SnapTell. SnapTell is an image-recognition app that can identify the cover a piece of media (like a book, DVD or computer game) through a cameraphone and return pricing info and reviews from the web.

Searchme has announced that it’s on-line “visual search” service is now available as a downloadable app on the Nokia Ovi Store. Anyone with a Symbian-based Nokia S60 can pick the application up for free by pointing their browser at the content store.

The Movie Magazine CINEMA is allowing users to vote for their favourite advert in every issue?
How?

Basically during September, readers take a picture of their favourite ad and send it to a special shortcode.  Using kooaba’s technology each advert sent in is saved and recognised for categorisation.

What is it?
