Vodafone gets vodaboned

vodafone-unhappyVodafone is not a happy operator in New Zealand. The mobile operators of NZ have been offered something of a Devils bargain by the Commerce Commission there. It has basically told the operators to agree internally on new, cheaper prices for network-to-network calls…. or else the Commerce Commission will do it for them. It looks like the operators will be taking care of matters themselves, and Vodafone is not happy about it

Mobile operator complains about being bullied: 2degrees starts proceedings against Telecom

Telecom, New Zealands largest mobile network operator, is being accused of bullying by another operator, 2degrees. The smaller carrier brought the complaint to New Zealands Commerce Commission after claiming that Telecom is refusing to interconnect services.

Vodafone and Telecom are currently operating GSM networks in New Zealand, with 2degress only launched as the the third choice [...]

New Zealand operator Telecom brings Bebo Open Mobile on-platform

Telecom New Zealand today announced it has become a Core Partner of the Bebo Open Mobile program. The operators new mobile network will be rolled out in New Zealand by June this year, and will feature Bebo mobile internet and messaging services on-platform.

Vodafone says YES to the iPhone

Vodafone today announced it has signed an agreement with Apple to sell the iPhone in ten of its markets around the  globe.
