On the last Friday of every month, we’ll be publishing an interview with one of the leading ladies of the mobile industry. Our first interview is with mobile marketing and advertising guru, Helen Keegan. Helen publishes the technokitten blog, and is founder and CEO of UK mobile marketing agency BeepMarketing. t-mobile T-Mobile has released results from a pilot SMS/MMS advertising program it ran in the Czech republic. 22 advertisers including huge brands like Coca-Cola, Nestle and Ford, participated in the pilot project. T-Mobile is considering launching an official SMS/MMS advertising service on the strength of the pilot.

outthere Mobile advertiser Out There Media today announced it has become the Mobile Advertising partner for the Ukraine’s largest mobile operator - Kyivstar. The network has almost 23 million subscribers, and has signed a non-exclusive deal to publish advertising inventory through Out There’s mobile ad platform, MoBucks.

It has released figures showing that theatres and other ticket sellers have seen massive response rates to local SMS campaigns - especially when sending ticket promotions to students. Mostly in Manchester, it seems.

Vietnam introduces anti-spam SMS regulations

The extremely dramatically named Vietnam Computer Emergency Response Team has issued a solution for reducing the number of spam SMS sent in the country. The document suggests that all networks have to label outgoing bulk advertising texts as such, and customers will be given the chance to refuse the text before it is received.

Mobile advertiser Admoda announces over 1.2 billion ad-serves per month

Admoda has announced that the number of ads delivered over it’s network has spiked to over 1.2 Billion ads per month during 2009. It attributes this to cultivating publishers in large territories like Asia, Russia and South America.
The ad network, which runs on- and off-portal campaigns, operates mostly through banner ads and SMS advertising.

Orange in SMS Mobile Advertising service

Yikes. I need to apologise to Amobee. I wrote in the past its business model would die and Orange would never work with it again because of the Vodafone/ Telefonica investement.
