picture-6I interviewed Cameron Franks of Sybase 365 at the Mobile Commerce World event in San Francisco today. Sybase handles literally billions of interconnections between mobile operators, mostly in the form of SMS. Cameron and I spoke about the mobile commerce services that Sybase is working on: including its recent announcement of a deal with Western Union, and plans to offer more value to customers through mobile finances.

I’m a big fan of the operator-level services that Sybase provides - particularly the mobile email services it creates for low-end devices in developing markets. But Sybase is a larger operation than that, so I was delighted when I got the chance to sit down with Gregory Dunn, VP of Product Management for Sybase 365, and catch up with what they’re doing and where they’re going.
