Don’t like your Android UI? Don’t worry, there’ll be another one in a minute.

android-ui-skin-face-hiplogic-user-interface-logoHere’s a cool story about a new Android service. HipLogic is launching a service that will allow mobile operators and mobile makers to embed their own UI on Android devices they support - and to update those UIs over-the-air, as well as launch new ones. This story wouldn’t have had as much of an impact on me before today, but I was discussing the new Acer Liquid Android phone with a friend of mine this morning - and this service would be particularly great for that phone.

Handset’s UI so simple a child of 4 could use it

Posted by Tony Dennis on Dec 19, 2009 13:17

Rating: Perhaps he’d test some others
A British boy aged four, Jason Buckle, used a mobile phone to summon aid for his stricken mother. Despite having never used the handset before he managed to call his Mum’s friend to get help.
Significantly, in addition to knowing how to dial and use the mobile phone, young Jason scrolled [...]

The idea behind Squace is great. Mobile phone users shouldn’t have [...]

Ratings: Techies think of the end user!
This is a common problem in technological products just not mobile UI (User Interface). So many products/services are built by techies who often don’t think how the end user will interact with them. Not only that but because the techies use it a certain way they presume the [...]

TerraNet breaks the numeracy barrier

Posted by admin on Apr 7, 2008 15:09

Rating: UI to aid third world sales

The UI is simplicity itself, requiring only three buttons to govern the complete control of the handset. However, it’s [...]

Posted by Bena Roberts on Apr 5, 2007 10:24

Mobile search is not only about browsing and surfing the mobile Internet. It is coupled with accessibility and navigating the mobile device as well. On top of this there is also the ability to push mobile services directly to the consumer via the use of idle screen technology.
The idle screen is the first screen that [...]
