Mobile developer Vlingo runs a service that GoMo News has always been interested in: mobile voice control. The product allows you to access most of the core functions of your device simply by speaking at it - you can see our live demo of the service at CTIA 2009 here. One of those functions is mobile web search, where you can simply tell Vlingo what you want and at it will run a series of searches for it on the internet through your phone. Today, Vlingo has published its list of the 10 most popular mobile web searches that were run through Vlingo during 2009.
Mobile voice search launched by Google India, but they should have called it a beta

Nuance Communications today announced that it’s Nuance Voice Control (NVC) 2.0 can enable speech for any service on any mobile device from smartphones to feature phones. The new NVC combines on-device voice recognition with voice recognition in the network.

Vlingo Mobile Search voice application for the iPhone
