Festivals apps are all the rave

Everywhere you look, there seem to be apps appearing to coincide with all the major music festivals in the UK. A really obvious candidate is an iPhone app for the iTunes festival (which takes place from July 1st 2011 ). Naturally, that app is being heavily promoted on the iTunes App Store. Of course, Glastonbury had its fair share of apps, too. Orange launched the official Glastonbury 2011 app for iPhone and Android users, and even had a version for Nokia handsets (on Ovi) out before the festival started. There’s one big snag to all these festival apps – battery life. Music festivals usually last at least four days and most smartphones struggle to reach 24 hours. Property comparer offers non-iPhone web site

Rating: Rightmove finds iPhone owners are fair weather users
Extremely chuffed that its award-winning iPhone app which has reached circa 800,000 downloads, online property comparison site – Rightmove – has launched a new mobile internet website. It claims the new mobile site [which incidentally isn't a .mobi] will enable Rightmove “to capitalise on the growing non-iPhone segment of the smartphone market.” The UK web operation has also noticed that iPhone usage climbs dramaticly on sunny days.
