Tagit Pte, Ltd, a Singapore mobile commerce company has entered into a strategic relationship with DAEM Interactive. DAEM is a mobile image recognition technology.
Both companies will now work together to enable all camera-phone users to interact with any media for receiving or obtaining information on digital content.

How?
This technology is called Augmented Reality and basically it uses software downloaded on a mobile device to help users to take pictures which will then be decoded in order to send information on the product or picture back to the mobile device.

What we think
This is interesting and a simple service which is already live in Spain with Vodafone. But in the press release the company has written Vodafone, Vodaphone… this is a really bad move everyone. In order to succeed in a growing new market you have to get the name of the mobile operator right.
