Taptu mobile search beta trial

Rating: knickers in a twist?
We are not sure what to make of Taptu. The mobile search start-up is getting lots of cash – but so far there has been little noise. I spoke to a venture capital company just now and asked about Taptu from the inside. What I heard.

Steve Ives is the big gun behind Taptu and he is a favourite within the industry and a lot of the investment in the company (not-disclosed) is because of him. I had a long meeting with Bob Last from Taptu at 3GSM and he was extremely bullish on Taptu.

What we think?
It all sounds fresh and funky and mobile search with a real twist and focus on usability and user generated content. Its too soon to tell – but we WANT Taptu to be huge as there is more mobile search junk than not…. We have signed-up for BETA testing and have some interviews lined up and WILL keep you informed!
