Taptu sign deal with mobile video streamer ZooVision to provide mobile search functions

The most recent announcement for Taptu bears a striking resemblance to the last news we heard from them. Very soon after Taptu dropped its text provider in favour of a new one, ZooVision has announced its dropping its search provider in favour of Taptu.

ZooVIsion specialise in streaming video to mobile phones, completely for free on an ad-supported model.

Our existing provider didn’t offer this kind of innovative approach so we have replaced them with Taptu.”

What we think?

It’s a good deal for both companies, especially for ZooVision, but I wonder if Taptu is starting to specialise in the mobile video crowd? It’s last announced partnership was itsmy.com in November.  Getting a niche for itself the social networking video crowd will build its database very quickly allowing it to offer even nicher results and services.
