Tea with Helene Haughney CEO Zinadoo
As you know I am in Ireland doing business today. But before I disclose what business I am doing, I managed to meet a company that has been on my radar for a long time. It is of course Mobile Search and Mobile Website creation company Zinadoo.
I hooked up with the CEO Helene Haughney this morning.
Bena: Helene, I think last time we met in Amsterdam?
Helene: No in Paris!
Bena: Oh yes! I remember now. What have you been up to?
Helene: We have been busy over the last year developing exciting new products
and services under our *Zinadoo** *product brand, to continuously meet
the ever changing market trends and increasing demand for more flexible
and innovative mobile Web solutions.
Bena: But what kind of solutions? For the Zinadoo service we recently launched support for video streaming
and partnered with
YouTube to offer the Zinadoo Video service. This
exciting new application allows businesses and consumers to upload video
clips right onto their own mobile website. This feature provides a new
way to promote a business brand, product offering, event, news or
company announcement to consumers; a convenient way to easily share
video clips with a business community right from their mobile website. We re-launched Zinadoo SMS feature as it is perfect for promoting a
mobile website and staying in touch with a community. By using the
Zinadoo Phone Book, organisations can add contact names and numbers.
This is a great way to group contacts together to send promotional
messages in an instant! The *Zinadoo Phone Book* service is so flexible
that it allows an organisation to nominate a preferred sender ID that is
received by the end user. SMS is the fast and low-cost way to
communicate an organisations product offering via the most personal medium.
Another exciting new initiative that is due to launch In July is the
Zinadoo Directory service. This service lets our partners take their
content from the Web and create a mobile Web directory out of it. We are
launching a number of directories at the end of July – one being a
mobile Web Business Park - the first in Ireland in fact, another one is
a directory of Irish eateries called the Mobile Food Circle. These are
very exciting partnerships for Zinadoo as it is taking full use of our
mobile Web platform. This is a step in the right direction to providing
content across the mobile Web.
Bena: Wow Helene – it sounds as though Zinadoo is starting to take off! Congratulations. Anything else that I should know?
Helene: We are an active member of the DotMobi Advisory Group (MAG) and we were
recently elected to the Steering Committee. The Dotmobi Advisory
Group is a global forum for key industry stakeholders to network and
voice their opinions and ideas for the betterment of the mobile Web
experience, exploring best practices, standard compliance issues and
commercialisation initiatives.
