Telecom Italia and apple to bring iPhone to italy on july 11

Telecom Italia and Apple today announced  that the 3G iPhone will be available to customers in TIM stores on July 11 .

The iPhone 3G combines all the revolutionary  features of iPhone  with 3G networking that is twice as fast as the first generation  iPhone, built-in GPS for expanded location based mobile services, and iPhone  2.0  software which  includes support for Microsoft Exchange  ActiveSync and run the hundreds of third party applications already built with the recently released  iPhone SDK..

Telecom Italia will be selling 8 GB and 16 GB models of 3G iPhone to prepaid and contract customers . TIM will also selling iPhones with the “Tutto compreso” package tailored to meet customers’ needs.

The iPhone delivers this and more,” says Luca Luciani, Head of Telecom Italia Domestic Mobile Services. “We believe that the iPhone meets these needs and is a further  step that strengthen our leadership in the mobile internet”
