The good, the bad and the cheesy
Rating: What a day
I don’t know if I love or hate London. I had to take the bus this morning in my high shoes, RL shirt, blue suit and Primark rain jacket (my mum got it for me for a fiver- what can I say!).
Anyway
The Good: I had a very exciting day today – met some brilliant people and feel the “I want to win” rush flying within me.
The Bad: I got on the bus. There was no space. A boy came in behind me and said “please boss. I don’t have any money – can you let me ride for free”. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. He had a N95 in his hand and Lacoste jumper. Then, I expected him to be thrown off the boss but the buss driver asked him “how old are you?” He answered “14” and the bus driver let him on. What on earth. If he was 14 he should have been in a school uniform and he shouldn’t have been carrying a N95. Then (luckily) my German mobile phone rang. The German phone I use is a prepaid card and I have a very old Nokia 6680. As I got to the back of the bus the same boy said to me. Give me your phone.
I thought for a minute. Then you know what. I gave it to him. Bye Bye phone (my fourth one gone this year).
The Cheesy: After being non-violently mugged on a bus – I ended up at Microsoft mingling with VCs and being inches away from Mr. Steve Ballmer. Guess what. His saliva hit my shoes when he speaking and after writing this I am off to eBay to try and flog them. I took a picture, of him, the saliva and the shoe.. All serious offers accepted.
