by: Bena Roberts Friday, September 26th, 2008

The MMA embaces India with a local council.

Building on the success achieved globally and regionally, we will now launch the India Local Council and introduce a local membership fee structure giving important benefits for a significantly reduced fee. Cost to join the Local Council is 1000USD per year.

Benefits of membership include:
An opportunity to meet and network with leaders in your country.
Receive discounts to MMA Mobile Marketing Forum and MMA co-sponsored events and market research.
Sixty (60) days free access to MMA APAC research.  You can read the press release regarding our APAC Attitude & Usage study at http://mmaglobal.com/modules/article/view.article.php/1761.

What we think?

I think this is great news! Why? Because I am personally concerned about the Indian Mobile Advertising market and do think that click through rate fraud is happening there - so any education or control would be great. On top of that these providers of “money-back” for viewing mobile ads schemes need to be monitored and have an eco-system to enable them to grow.
