Rap dictionary for those who don’t know:

1. Jay-Z is a hugely successful artist he also has a clothes company called Rocawear. I bought one pair of Roca jeans about 2 years ago and they are not cheap.

2. The company has a new see, feel, touch or whatever campaign that are going to promote on Boost Mobile (MVNO in the US from Sprint).

3. Amobee is running this campaign. Amobee is the official ad seller and ad server.

4. Boost has 4.4 million customers in the US

From the press release:

“Mobile advertising is the most personal and effective way to reach our audience, who essentially lives on their mobile device – they’re connected 24/7 and are using their phones for entertainment, surfing the Web and much more than just phone calls,” said chief marketing officer Jameel Hassan Spencer of Rocawear. “Mobile fits our consumers’ urban lifestyle and really connects with the message of our campaign, allowing them instant interaction with our brand.”

What we think?
This is a surprise Rocawear getting excited about being on Boost live a small brand with only 4.4 million eyeballs. I suppose its nice to be on the home page of Boost live! But I wonder what the click through will be?

This is great that bands are getting on board –but I am not sure that this is a multi-million dollar ad campaign –but more a nice to have for Rocawear.
