TMS browser based mobile barcode search engine?
Rating: gimmick or bridge?
By Bena Roberts
There is an interesting press release today from TMS Search offering a browser based solution to access 2D barcodes. The premise is that there are very few mobile phones that can read 2D barcodes so it offers a browser based solution where user go to its home page – type in the code and then use the Internet to get the code.
I suppose it’s a solution – be it a messy one. I went to the TMS home page http://www.tms-search.com/
To take a look and guess what – it didn’t work. Enough said then.
