Godengo launches its iPhone / iPad platform
Digital publishing company Godengo has launched a platform for the iPad – and it’s bringing it’s clients with it. The first magazine to hit the Godengo platform will be Palm Springs Life, owned by Desert Publications Inc.
Despite controversy, iAds is good for mobile marketing
Apple caused uproar when it announced it would be blocking competing advertisers from using the iAds platform. But according to competitors including Google and Greystripe, the interest and hype generated by iAds has been great overall for the mobile marketing industry.

Gordon Borrell, CEO of advertising research firm Borrell Associates has announced that mobile marketing will be bigger than on-line marketing. He claims that mobile marketing techniques should be taught in IT training, to prepare for the coming market.
CNN enters the advertising-supported market
CNN has launched a free news app for the iPhone. Revenue from the app will be generated by sales of advertising. The international news companies free app has been at the top of the paid news app list since it launched last September, but evidently CNN wants more mobile subscribers.
