TuneWiki Mobile Asia Congress
TuneWiki wins every award possible and I know why
So in the Innovation part of the Mobile Asia Congress a tiny booth said, “TuneWiki”. I didn’t like the name but I knew it from somewhere and something compelled me to go over and find out more.
When I realised that this company was the winner of the Google Android award (300,000 USD) everything fell into place.
But I couldn’t resist and I started asking questions like “what was Google like with the awards?” Did you get the impression it was trying to steal innovation or really promoting it.
The feedback I got from the CEO (sorry his business card is in my suitcase and I am in Beijing in The Lucky Shamrock cafe) who joked that all the money had gone coming to Asia Mobile Congress came from the heart. He said he was deeply touched and appreciative of Google and they had been treated like “kings”.
So what is this TuneWiki?
Basically its an application karaoke machine which brings up the lyrics when you listen to the song. Know I know China – this service will rock in Asia.
After a demo my mind starting going mad with potential business models – I said – OMG you could make money by partnering with a t-shirt company and selling your favourite song lyrics.
I think I hit the trump card as everyone’s mouth dropped and the CEO said, “I like your mind” we are going to announce that!
Then we spoke Google ads in the application (huge money potential) and mobile lyric search - which will be HUGE - I promise.
Anyway – I loved it. Simple things are easy and great and its very simple to use. Anyone looking to develop should look at the application for inspiration as it really addresses all needs.
