U-Turn to interactive mobile marketing portals

U-Turn Media Group, based in Prague, has signed a reseller agreement with Belgian-based The Ring Ring Company. U-Turn wants to expand its presence in mobile marketing and see The Ring Ring Company as an experienced mobile marketing player.

U-Turn will offer a branded mobile portal to Ring Ring’s clients in France and Benelux, providing consumers with advertising and media information on mobile devices. Signing up to the portal can be via SMS short code, web or Bluetooth and will allow users to access streamed or downloadable audio and video clips, images, text and other value-added services.

Subsequently, the portal is accessed by clicking on the branded icon in the mobile’s main menu. Advertising real estate appears within the portal in the form of banner ads, scrolling text and there is the opportunity to add pre and post reel advertising within video content. Mobile vouchers can also be offered that push consumers to points of sale by offering discounts or exclusive deals.

U-Turn’s technology can create statistics to reveal the amount of time spent in the portal, time spent in each category and which content was viewed. It can also collect demographic information about the user and link this back to their behaviour in the portal. In this way, U-Turn can offer a very accurate tracking mechanism for measuring response rates and marketing effectiveness.
