New Media Age are reporting that Microsoft are going to bring their cashback scheme to the UK after a reported successful launch in North America last month.

You can read our full coverage of the scheme here but to recap “Live Search Cashback promises to pay back a portion of the purchase price ranging from about 2 percent to more than 30 percent to people who use Live Search to find designated products and buy them online from participating retailers

Microsoft’s Chris Dobson, VP of global sales at Microsoft Online Services Group, said “Cashback has done very well in the US and we will be looking to roll it out in other markets; the UK will be next.” He added “For Microsoft there’s no point being a ‘me too’ company - you’ve got to do something different and that’s what we’re doing with cashback.”
