V-Enable FreeMobile411

by: Bena Roberts Monday, April 14th, 2008

V-Enable has launched a new FreeMobile411 mobile search directory service at freemobile411.com and fm411.mobi.
The first thing that unfortunately springs to mind when I hear about V-Enable is that it was one of the companies that Nuance didn’t buy – when it bought out all of its competitors last year.

The second thing that springs to mind is that I have heard alot about V-Enable recently and perhaps this means a change of direction from the company? A few weeks ago there was a partnership with LBS guide company Buzzd and now its offering live operator support.

Me thinks that a more open, social media coupled with ease of use strategy is coming to play. This is absolutely vital. Why?  Because the 411 space is being fought after by the search engines and new business models are necessary to retain or gain competitive advantage.

I will keep my eyes on V-Enable.
