Velti Mobile Marketing and Mobile Advertising Platform

When I went into the meeting with Clare Grant Director or Marketing at Velti, my feet were killing me and we had to walk a long way to get to their seating area. I needed sugar and the huge chocolate chip cookies made me smile as I entered the room.

I munched, whilst Clare took me too the corporate presentation.

Velti?

Velti is an enabler of mobile content, mobile marketing and mobile advertising services.

I mentioned to Clare that there are so many mobile marketing and advertising agencies (even I am setting up an advertising and mobile SEO agency), what is your value add?

I was surprised to hear that Velti is no newbie. It’s got arms and legs of offices globally a strong work force (approx 300) and a client list that made even me look twice.

So my second question was – if you are this big – what is going wrong as I am in the market and don’t know you as well as say an Airwide Solutions.

Clare’s response was that they wanted to graft a business before making headlines. This is something that I have heard before. She said that the time was now to show with concrete examples the Velti advantage and differentiator.
I then spoke about deals and wins and technology. It seems to be that messaging on mobile is still in demand from mobile operators. This is the essential to brands going mobile and the first point of entry. I also saw that Orbit and Western Union have signed up for Velti advertising based messaging solutions.

But the vision is to enable on the fly mobile advertising as well. To offer instant and flexible WAP push advertising to brands for in-house or external inventory.

Also - as I was walking to the Velti booth, I got contronted by Nick Wiggin who gave me his card and said, check us out then call me!  It was funny as I found him 30 seconds later at the Velti stand. Ansible is a daughter company of Velti based in London and Nick is the new EU Managing Director - lets see if I can hook up with him next week in London.
