Rating: New York venue for its annual Mobile Convergence Technology Summit

Leading US operator, Verizon Wireless, has decided to take the message on how smartphones and wireless PDAs can play a key role in building businesses straight to those on the front line.
As of today, the company is accepting registrations for its conference which will take place on May 6th in Manhattan.“All too often employees are given devices by their companies without any instruction on their capabilities,” commented Maitland Muse, regional director with Verizon Wireless’ Data Solutions. “By teaming up with leading application providers, we can help change the way New York Metro area companies do business and show them how leveraging mobile applications can help increase productivity, lower management costs and simplify sales.”

The company claims that managers and executives from all types of businesses can benefit from the event’s hands-on tutorials; live demonstrations and previews of the latest business applications.
Speakers include Indranil Chatterjee, executive director-wireless strategy and business development for Alcatel- Lucent and Johna Till Johnson, founder of independent research firm, Numerates Research.
