Vodafone live no mobile advertising banner served

Yesterday I bought my son a Vodafone device and today I decided to try and buy him a game for his phone. First of all it said that it couldn’t find a GPRS connection and I would have to make a GSM call.

I guessed that this would be expensive so, I decided to wait for a GPRS signal. But then the live! page started to load automatically.

I haven’t been on live! in the UK for so long, I decided to have a bit of a surf. But one thing and one thing only struck me. There were no banners only blank spaces saying “banner” see image.

Now, I have to say that this is terrible. I know I am on a GPRS low end device but not serving the banners and showing the empty box is pretty dire! I will report back if the banners start to appear.
